You thought I didn't talk on my blog ? Why did I do that ? I need to express myself and today I would like to talk about violence on the Internet, just to have another point of view. In fact, I already talked about this issue. But I didn't analyse one point. Indeed, violence on the Internet can really have an influence on people ?

There are many examples which illustrate two opinions : "the influence exist or doesn't exist".

First, we can talk about killings in a secondary school in Finland. Matti Juhani Saari, the culprit, created a blog. He used it to broadcast violent images, purposes. He said he was captivated by violence. Psychologists explained that he was influenced by néo-nazis websites. Moreover, he said on his blog he wanted to imitate some movies he watched on thie Internet.

This can illustrate the idea of influence.

In fact, researches revealed that violent images on the media increased fear, aggressive behavior, and it reduces our sensitiveness when we see other violent images as if violence was "normal".

In my opinion, the influence exists. In fact, there is the phenomenon of "imitation" but the influence depends on three things :

It was just an adventure. A "big brother" adventure. 1 micro and 13 cameras. We were filmed during 32 hours in a little english class. It was like a reality show but with a lot differences.

It was interesting to work like that. I had the impression to work more than if I had "classical teachings" but it's also strange because I've not the habit of learning english thanks to this process.

It symbolizes also the evolve of teachings. The Internet evolves so a lot of social aspects evolve too.

It was my first blogue and I realize that I enjoy expressing myself thanks to this means.

I'll think that I'll create a website or another blogue because It's really funny.

The Internet is a media which evolves quickly. We can imagine a lot of uses in the future. In fact, if the Internet evolves, uses too. In this post, it's like "new years"... These are my "new resolutions" for using Internet in my future.

- Chatting a lot !

Firstly, I just want to talk about uses in my private life. I'm sure that I'll continue to chat with people in order to meet them. As a matter of fact, I chat since two years and I think it's really interesting to get in touch with people like that. Maybe, I'll meet more persons. Moreover, it's really interesting to understand their behavior on the Internet. It's like a psychological phenomenon.

- Being more famous !

Then, I really want to create a website about me. It's not narcissism ! Indeed, I just want to create a buzz around me to develop a kind of "fame" but the word is too "hard". I don't want to sell my body on the Internet to be more "fame". I want to create a real content, maybe around medias. I think it could be an interesting experience to understand the process of media coverage.

- Madness

Finally, I'm dominated by my imagination. Thanks to the Internet, I'll hope there will be a kind of magic which permit us having the ubiquity donation !

Even if it exists in the Internet (We can speak with a lot of people, exchange different informations...) I'll hope it will be possible physically. :) A joke...

Internet in my job

Internet can be used in our professional life. In other words, we can use e-culture and communication in our job, for our work.

- Basis
The use depends on the job I’ll do. If I work in an audiovisuel company, for a television program, I can use it to find some pieces of information about a subject I’ll treat.
For example, if I’ll work for a theme like “the anorexia”, I’ll have to find some figures about this subject. Then, I can communicate with our witnesses who participate to the television program.

In this case, the Internet can be used to keep contact with our witnesses. I remember an internship where I really used the Internet to exchange informations about witnesses. Thanks to the e-mail, they sent us pictures of them for the program.

-Imagine I'll work as a "free-lance"
These are the basis of using the Internet in my job.
However, we can take more examples. In some jobs, we only have to work on the web. If I work as a "free-lance", the Internet will be my main tool. I can create a website. In this case, all day long I will be on the Internet to update news for example.

The Internet will be a many-sided tool in my professional life.
We just have to respect some rules. Even if the Internet give us the impression that we can exchange all informations, sometimes, we have to respect some private informations.

Finding a job thanks to the Internet

Internet can be used in our private life. However, it could be used in our professional life to find a job. Thanks to this means, I would like to find a job.
In order to reach this goal, I would like to use some special websites like “Monster”: http://www.monster.fr/
First, I’ll have to find a job announce in order to answer it. I’ll send a CV with a motivation letter. I already use this process to find an internship. It offers great opportunities.

Moreover there are other means to find a job on the Internet. As a matter of fact, I can go to all companis’ websites to send spontaneous candidature to apply to a job. In this case, I just have to find the adress of an employee to send an e-mail.

Finally, I can create a blog and a CV on-line in order to make a buzz around different companies. For example, I can use our wiki in English if I want to find a job abroad.

Currently, I work in a company which has 65 employees. It is located in Paris in the 15th arrondissement in the street named "Rue Maubert". Its goal is to commercialize children’s softwares.

It receives a grant from the state to hire young interns. That is how I received my job which is titled "executive". At the first time, my job’s title was "marketing manager", but I changed job.

We sell a range of products with the brand "Youngsoft". We have many charges associated with marketing. Our posting in the metro is one of the most expensive. Our PR department also has a very large budget. We realize our own ads with our redaction staff, and we make our own edition of user manuals.

Our quarterly results for this year have been all very positive. Our market is very interesting right now, and that is why we gain funds.

We want to commercialize our products in Tahiti because we think metropolitan customers would be interested in buying them.

To resume, thanks to our positive deontology and interesting market niche, we’ll have a rosy future.

Today, we have to make a point about e-culture. On this blog, I wrote different posts about this Internet characteristic. We have to remember that e-culture is the symbol of free culture. In other words, it means that we can have access to the culture without paying anything.
It’s also a means to broadcast a lot of news and it can be used to sort out a major international problem.

- Global warming
In fact, we can take the example of global warming which is a serious issue. It concerned everybody. That’s why, more and more companies use this tool to communicate about climate change. Moreover, different means are used to reach this goal. In fact, global warming is a complex issue so it has to generalize it to be more popular. In fact, Internet is a good tool to create a transparency strategy. Finally, Internet is a good means to increase people in actions. It means that they can participate to the struggle against global warming. It creates a community because we know that Internet is an interactive place.

« Money » is the obsession of our society. More and more people want to get money.
Internet can be a good means to reach this goal. In fact, it can be used by amateur people, it means teenagers or students, to make money.
What kind of creation can be a tool to aim this goal ?

First, we can take the example of blogs. At the beginning, there was used to speak about ourselves, but now more and more people created blogs to be in business. We can quote people who make X-Blog to sell DVD or erotic objects.
They have to do a buzz. Then, when they are more famous, they can begin to sell. Then, people use also blog to create a fame around them. It's the case of "Jeremstar" a student who lives in Lyon. First, it has created his blog to be more famous. Now he sells products on it (T-shirt, cards of him...).

- E-bay

Being a TV presentator....or not

Do you believe that it's the beginning of the glory ?
I think it's the beginning of the worst of my non-existent career on television...

Everybody think it's really easy to present a tv program. More and more people just want to have this kind of experience. In fact, it's paradoxical because we have a lack of transparency in this kind of job. It means that we don't know exactly what are the demands of it.

I had this experience in a event organised by Emmanuel Chain, a famous TV journalist. First, I presented the weather forecast. We had a "brief" before presenting it. The most difficult is that it's an ad-libbing presentation. I didn't have any maps to see the France. I just had a television which permited having some markers. In fact, it was really hard to adjust my body with the map.

Yet, when I presented presidential election it was different. We had a teleprompter with the text. I just have to read the text. But there was other problems : the body language !

More and more people used Internet a lot. It’s like video games or television. Teenagers spend a lot of time using new technologies. It exists different levels of addiction.

It can be amazing to speak about « violence » on Internet. Indeed, the word violence can have a physical dimension.

- "Happy slapping" : a kind a violence on Internet
In fact, we also speak about violence on Internet. We can take the example of « happy slapping». This is a new phenomenom which exists because of new technologies. It means that some people (in general teenagers) film violence they do on people in real life. After they have created the film with their mobile phones, they broadcast the images on Internet, on their blog for instance. Some psychologues analyze this phenomenon saying that thanks to the camera, people don’t hace really the impression to do something illegal. But I think there is a part of « sight » in this case. It means that people want to exhib what they are able to do.

- Being someone else
This is not the only one example. As a matter of fact, it exists other example. If we want to meet people thanks to chatrooms, we can have bad experiences. I talked about « identity theft ». In fact, some people use other identities in order to meet boys and girls and they have violence on them. In 2007, a young boy met a man which was about 50. He thought it was 25 years old. This man rape the young boy, in his house.

Be careful…an author said « Internet is like a street ». You can meet unbalanced people.

There is another danger on Internet : Identity theft.
This is a phenomenon which appearead on Internet above all on stores websites. It’s also called « hackers ».

It means that some internet users take an identity of antoher person. In general, they take the name, the number account, keywords…
This is illegal.

In 2006, a woman was sentenced because she used the internet account of one of her friend, on Meetic, the Internet meeting website. She was accused to be « violent » that’s why, they had to pay for this « crime », about 10 000 euros. In fact, shed used her identity, but she broadcated a wrong image of her collegue on Internet, saying that she was a
« bitch ».

I talked about stores websites. Some people have the possibility to use our identity and bank account when we buy something on Internet. But, these kind of websites have changed their process. As a matter of fact, when we buy something on Internet with our credit card, we have to give the proof that we are the persons who did purchases. In fact, we have to send a letter with our credit car number, a photocopy of our identity card. This is used to struggle against frauds.

Internet represents a real benefit in our professionnal and private lives. Yet, this virtual world can have a lot of dangers, like in real life.
More and more cybercrimes are listed on the Web.

First we have to define the word of « cybercrime ». Cybercrime is a kind of criminal activity done using computers and the Internet. For example, it’s downloading illegal music files to stealing millions of dollars from online bank accounts. Cybercrime also includes non-monetary offenses, as for example, creating and distributing viruses on computers or posting confidential information on the Internet. This concept was invented in 1990.

In our lives we practice some common acts but sometimes we don't know how to do something. For example, when we fall in love of someone, we have to kiss. In fact, we have to be comfortable doing it.

Recently, Google has launched an application to compete with the I-phone. I have a new 3G phone, but I think I’ll don’t download it. In fact, I only use my phone to call and to send SMS messages, not to my active members like Obama, but to my friends.

Moreover, I don’t know really why I bought a 3G phone because I don’t use any other application! I think it’s just a means to gather to a community of phones, to say “I am a geek, I really know new technologies”.

New technologies are more and more used in presidential campaigns. It was the case in France in 2007 campaign. And, it is the case in USA. We can take the example of Obama Campaign.

First, we have to remember the facts. Obama has been using the internet extensively in his campaign. Recently he has used SMS messages to make announcements. His goal was to send SMS to his active members. In theses SMS messages, he told them his choice about his vice-president. Indeed, the first critic I can do is that in this case it was a failure because the news was broadcast before his messages. If we analyze more the situation, we can notice that using new technologies in presidential campaign is a big communication strategy. As a matter of fact, it’s a means to create proximity with active members and electors. Remember: “proximity” was really the reference word in French campaign in 2007. “Be near you electors” was a kind of ideology, a means to think about electors worries.

Moreover, it’s also the case with Internet. It’s a means to be near electors. First it permits creating forums. It gives the illusion that people can be active in the campaign thanks to participation. It is what we call “transparency strategy”. It means we use new technologies to give the impression that we are near known-people, to give the impression that we can be active, to give the impression that all is simple, all is true…

Finally, I think that using new technologies are really a good means to create relationships with electors. It’s a good strategy because we can really give the impression that we are near people’s worries. It’s the symbol of “participative democracy”. It’s a new ideology in our societies.
Yet, even if we can consider that as an illusion, we cannot imagine a presidential campaign without internet websites. It’s a means to be credible.

My private life become public life

Internet can be used for our professional life, private life. This is two different means to have an access to e-culture. In the private life “sphere” we have the possibility to speak about our experiences. This is what I’ll do in this post.

I have no really experiences with e-culture in my little professional life contrary to my personal life. Above all, I use Internet to get in touch with people. I think it’s a kind of social e-culture. In fact, I spend a lot of time on different “tchats” to speak with people in order to create debates or only to meet them. Sometimes, we talk about current topics, or about our private lives.

These social networks have advantages. The most important it’s than we can exchange a lot of things. I mean, when you get in touch with another person is that e-culture have no limits. In other words, we can exchange all what we find on Internet with each other (videos, texts, pictures, opinions…)

Nevertheless, I use Internet to meet people even if I exchange a lot of things with them. My goal is to improve my relationships. For example, I meet boys and girls. It was the case last week-end. After a lot of meetings, I realized that relations with people are completely redefined. In really life, not on internet, when we meet people, we can know them. With Internet, the problem is that even if we speak on MSN with the person, when we meet him, we realize that we don’t really know him.

Internet used a lot of technics. We can quote for example RSS and RSS aggregators. These are formats used to publish frequently updated works such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video.

In fact, this technology permits gathering different tools : video, text, picture, songs…It’s a mix between these different elements. RSS formats are specified using xml, a generic specification for the creation of data formats. RSS formats have evolved since March 1999 with the web 2.0. Then, thanks to RSS, we can have access to free culture. We can also be informed since RSS permits knowing all the news linked with current topics. It means that news are update regularly. This is the big innovation of RSS.

I take this instance because this website gathers videos, pictures, links All the videos are regularly update because it depends on what's happening in the tv program.

Fianally, it creates a real interactivity with people. RRS give a new aspect to websites, a new dimension.

I learn english about ten years with different teachers. I think i have to improve it and i found a solution. My problem in english is that I don’t understand all key words in current topics. In fact, this is my best english language learning tool on the internet. As a matter of fact, thanks to Herald Tribune websites, I learn a lot of journalism vocabulary linked with current topic. It permits me having an english culture. In other words, thanks to this websiste, I just have the possibility to understand current topics like politic, health problems…
As for instance, I understood goals of presidential election in USA thanks to this website.

Moreover, I watch also some videos in order to practice my english oral language. I find it difficult to understand english people in life. That’s why I decided to improve my oral comprehension thanks to this means.

I think it's the best way for everybody to learn english.

It's time to speak about e-culture.

First, we have to analyse the word. It is composed of two elements "e" and "culture". The "e" is used to explain that this "culture" is based on internet exchanges. A new word for a new kind of culture.

Indeed, the access to the culture on internet is free. Even if they pay for having an internet connection, they can consult all kind of cultures : media culture, politic, art, history... Contrary to a museum, people don't pay for e-culture.
